iam going to grease my belt tensioner and need to buy an M8 bolt, just want to know what length i should buy. also the guide on here lists a T-30 torx as part of tools needed for the job but i have read the guide a couple of times and cant find any other mention of it, whats it needed for?

vr is 95 obd1 with coilpack

I am going to grease mine tomorrow bud so will take pic by pic and let you know.

As for the bolt, I have an M8 which is perfect as in lenth. If you could PM me your address I will sent it to you for free.

Make sure it's heat resistant grease. It gets very hot there :)

Had a reply from Kevin on another thread saying to use wheel bearing grease. Going to buy some tomorrow then take on the task of operating on the tensioner!!

It really is very easy and I am no mechanic!

Let us know how you get on. I have done mine today and used wheel bearing grease as read that is meant to be able to take serious amounts of heat. I did find putting the little things back on over the bearings to be rather tricky as they both did not want to go on.....A good squeeze and they are on.....I think, time will tell!!!!

got it done this morning, got rid of the noise, dead easy job and nothing has fallen off
