*P3nfold* 0
I checked the cabling and cleared the errors, ran again and no errors but she still runs like a dog!!!I changed the silicone hoses for better fittings ones and that's made a huge difference to the fittings.I installed the boost gauge but got no reading when revving to 3000 rpm is this normal?
craggsy 91
You have a boost leak then as should show a reading all th etime engine is running whether its boost or vaccum
cabrioman 6
is it running ok now ???? from what i remember chargers Boost late so may now see anything till about 3500 - 4000 rpm ....
cabrioman 6
You have a boost leak then as should show a reading all th etime engine is running whether its boost or vaccumits just a boost gauge only ... not a boost and vac gauge .....
*P3nfold* 0
Would this be on the outlet of the charger or manifold vacuum?
craggsy 91
Ah.....but surely it comes in steady from low revs does the boost.......did on mine
*P3nfold* 0
Both Craig and Tony, a question you, both of you have had Schimmel Cams, does the VR idle rough with these cams?
cabrioman 6
yeah dont think they start boosting untill about 3500 - 4000 ..... where have you fitted the pipe for the boost gauge ?
cabrioman 6
my idle was fine mate ....
rodney 17
I had an issue after I had first fitted mine... Ran great and then ruff as a badgers ar$e suddenly. Similar sounding issues to you... was worse under load not revs... So the solution I hear you ask....The pipe that connects derectly on to the charger (MAF/Filter side) was not 100% level. This allowed for a small air leak. It took me 3 hours of knuckle losing jiggery pokery but - Eventually with a little triming here and a little trimming there Perfect!!!! It then ran as good as gold. May not be your issue but hey something else to check Good luck
