Have you read the book I lent you?

I'd only think about balancing if you were ringing the neck out of your car all the time, with a lot higher rev limit. For what it will cost, your better spending the money else where.

Has anyone had there bottom end rebuilt or rebuilt it themselves?

I know you need new piston rings and big end bearings.

Is it really worth getting it balanced?

Is this for your current engine or the spare one you are looking at getting rebuilt?

I plan to keep the VR for many many years as its become another child in my household to the annoyance of my wife.

I need to look at the cost of balancing really, money always leads to a decision.

Just contacted TPS ouch parts are expensive.

Big end upper shell

Big end lower shell

Piston rings

Thrust washers

These are my current compression results

cylinder 1 - 190 psi

cylinder 2 - 150 psi

cylinder 3 - 180 psi

cylinder 4 - 170 psi

cylinder 5 - 130 psi

cylinder 6 - 190 psi

I noticed that cylinder 5 is low and cyclinder 2 is not far behind. Is this a worry for now?
