*P3nfold* 0
Has anyone had there bottom end rebuilt or rebuilt it themselves?I know you need new piston rings and big end bearings. Is it really worth getting it balanced?
legvw 0
Have you read the book I lent you?I'd only think about balancing if you were ringing the neck out of your car all the time, with a lot higher rev limit. For what it will cost, your better spending the money else where.
*P3nfold* 0
Hey Paul, I've started it, lots to take in. It's always worth asking the question. My father in law keeps going on about getting it bloody balanced and get the tolerances checked due to wear and tear.
spadam 7
Wouldn't bother for what u want. Would cost a lot of money. Unless ur doing regular track days or drag racing leave it alone.
*P3nfold* 0
Cheers Adam.Looks like I will sack the idea on getting the bottom end balanced.
bungy 2
If you've ever driven a car that has been fully blueprinted you'll realise that it is very worthwhile but takes money and effort. Depends on what you are trying to achieve.
spadam 7
As above but it will cost you and if its a daily driven road car that money would be better off spent elsewhere. Im not saying its not worth the money but there are better mods you could do for the money.

*P3nfold* 0
Nah the charger will go on the current block and I am going to rebuild Paul's old block over time, first part is the bottom end and then the head.
