If you have a muitmeter set it to AMPS (remember to plug the red lead into the hole with a A on it as it's different to the volts one)

Disconnect the battery earth them put the meter onto the earth on the battery and the earth lead so it's inline with the battery

This will show the amp draw to the battery upto 0.7 is fine as the will be things like the clock etc

If it's higher than that have a go at disconnecting the radio etc and see if it makes a change.

If not the the quickest way is to pull each fuse one at a time to see if that makes a change to the draw so you know what circuit the problem is on

Cheers Ian, that's pretty much what I thought.

Thanks for the heads up Craig about the stereo but it's been in there for nearly 2 years and it's only just started happening. I'll let you know how I get on.

Had a quick look earlier and everything seems ok. Amps in series is only 0.03 and the battery voltage is 12.76. Alternator was new last year so i'm thinking it might be time to change the battery. Any idea's?
