russj249 2
ok seems from a little research they are 470cc @ 3Bar injectors, and they are standard Vauxhall VXR injectors. This is another set - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Astra-VXR-Bosch-470CC-Injectors-Z20LEH-Z20LET-C20LET-/110716646617?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19c739f4d9#ht_680wt_1139Note it states in this one..."Also suitable for the following Vauxhall engines C20LET, Z20LET, Z20LEL & Z20LER"As the red-top injectors are from a C20LET I would assume they will fit? FishWick 21
They will fit the VR6 if they are the right length, i.e. 68mm O ring to O ring. They will more than likely be a split pattern for 4 valve heads, which isn't suitable for a 2V VR6 head....
russj249 2
NEW QUESTION - RE Saab InjectorsAre the Saab Turbo injectors any good? They are 150 series so will fit. craggsy 91
Saab injectors should be 356s on that number. And I know a very nice fella who has some for sale
russj249 2
hi Craig, I'd be very interested in you're mates set depending on the price. There's a few sets on eBay so was going to buy 2 sets of 4 and keep 2 as spares. This is the guide I use for the flow rates - http://www.polog40.co.uk/article_injector_table.phpAll those reading are at 3 bar so might they be 356 at 4 bar?
FishWick 21
They are 360cc @ 3 bar. 415cc @ 4 bar.
russj249 2
That's great thanks Kev.as a rough estimate, how much psi and power do you think these will be able to cope with?
FishWick 21
I used those exact injectors at one point in my build and they were fine at ~ 12psi and ~ 390hp. I ran them at 4 bar.I reckon you could probably run 450hp from those @ 4 bar, then think about switching to something around 500cc.
jims13 6
id say go for known 440 or 630 injectors , as although they tend to be a bit more expensive , they are better supported if you are going to use a out of the box solution ( united motorsport )you can of course run smaller injectors @4bar instead of 3 , but you run the risk of pushing them hard ..my two pence . FishWick 21
Completely agree Jim. Many injectors are designed for multivalve heads and won't work that great in a 2 valve VR6 head, which is why sticking to the tried and testeds is best.I used the Saab ones in an attempt to get better idle quality which is often what you lose with big injectors, but the 150 series are ancient now and my 500cc Densos idle better than the stock pea shooters!! They weren't cheap tho :-(
