apd 0 Posted March 7, 2004 Report Share Posted March 7, 2004 hello!had a problem thats niggling me.when ambling along 1000-2000revs get a faint judder/hesitance only for a few secs,then everythings ok.fault occurs remotely-once a day/week.had new coil pack,leads,plugs and full service.fuel pump failed,put on a pump from 2.0gti(ran pi** poor-only 3bar).had it rr & diagnostic wiith 3bar pump on.power graph showed 180bhp/5950rpm-well chuffed for standard vr6.diagnostic showed tdc fault 502?power curve showed flat spot @ 3500rpm.fault for tdc stayed clear advised to put vr6 4bar fuel pump on which i knew(could not get hold of one at time).put 4bar pump on- SWEET ,power more instant.tried Mangolds disconecting battery trick.fault still present.gunner try uprated fuel relay,PS KEEP UP THE INVALUABLE ADVICE ON THIS SITE(saves getting skanked by the dealer!)
