Right. My airbag light's been on for some time now, I have plugged it in at work and comes up with this.

00588 Airbag Igniter Drivers Side N95

32-00 Resistance too high

The code comes back instantly after erasing it.

I've had a new steering wheel inc. airbag 2nd hand that I've had re-covered, I was hoping that this would cure the fault but obviously not. I've had all of the plastics off too and can't find any signs of wires being chopped through or anything like it.

I've done a bit of searching, and seems to me, people have changed the 'clockspring' to get rid of the code.

Just so you know the steering wheel was changed, the airbag itself was replaced for another and also the bit that connects the wires inside the wheel to the steering column.

Can anyone shine any light on this?

but it's attached to the wheel isn't it? I've replaced everything right up to the 2 wire plug that plugs directly into the airbag. From wiring diagrams on autodata it's brown/white and black/white.

And also the horn works fine, so i know there's power there
