FrostyCab 0 Posted July 7, 2011 Report Share Posted July 7, 2011 Could someone do me a favour and post up a picture of how the central locking pump is mounted in the boot.When I got my golf it was hanging out and I've tried a few time but just can't see how its meant to be mounted neatly.Also, I'm guessing I've got a leak somewhere as when you unlock the car the pump runs on for a good while but does eventually switch off, during this time the lock pins are solid. Trouble is this only happens maybe 50% of the time. Is there anything else I should check for or any common failures to check for before I start ripping the whole thing out to find out whats what.Thanks for any help. Link to post Share on other sites

palmer 17 Posted July 9, 2011 Report Share Posted July 9, 2011 The pump in mine sits in between 2 pieces of foam an literally jus wedges in between the panels in the boot..........Mine has no fixings as far as im aware it just wedges in so should bepretty similar in urs i would of thought !!
