hoppinmad 0
i know this is a subject that has been asked and answered before, but after doing a search and reading pages of posts iam just as unsure as before and now a little confused as well. i have some D90s 6 fronts with 195/40s and 8 rears with 195/45s. my arches are not rolled, iam not sure what the drop is at the moment as it was lowered when i bought it, iam going to change it as i use it every day to about 40 to 50mm. iam not after loads of poke. i want it to look right but dont want hassle with tyres rubbing ect, i want to just fit the wheels and use the vr. what thickness adapters should i go for. sorry for going over old ground but i have read so many different post with different ideas as to what is the best width i just havent got a clue, also what wheel bolts should i use for the D90s, H&R list two different thread sizes for the porsche adapters dependant on the bore size(venom website) just to add to my confusion.thanks,Ty
Ian_rogers 0
It's all about workin out the ET mateIt's not an easy thing to do without havin adapters to test fit etcIf u can't do the above then buy bigger than u think u need n get them machined down to what u want
ian_GTI 0
Get some washers and some long m14 1.5 bolts and work it out that way saves a long of time and money if you buy the wrong ones
bungy 2
The offset calculator in the "stickie" section is really useful and could be double checked by the washer and bolt method.
hoppinmad 0
thanks for the replies, i was hoping some one was or had at some time run the same set up and could give the size of adapters they where/are running
ian_GTI 0
What you also need to rember is the the axle won't be 100% centre so you may get more poke one side than the otherOn my mk4 I had some bbs rc401 / 402s and on the rear I had a 20mm adaptor and a 23mm to get even pokeI just fitted some borbet A's to the mk3 no spacers on the rear but there is a good 3mm difference in poke so I need to space the other one 3mm and get some camber shims to stop the rubbing on the one wheel that's poking out more and to keep the wheels looking the sameHope that makes sense
