bungy 2
You have to do what you think is best but we'll all be biased on here and say keep your VR, the S3 will be no better on fuel anyway.

Spend the 4.5k on your car....supercharge it or go turbo. nice paint job, good set of wheels, lovely interior....endless options for 4.5k..... that be my way to go............ bungy 2
Turbo charged, cool paint, awesome wheels can all be had for 4.5k as already said by Don. Have you considered that route as you could do it in stages?
Dickyvr6 0
Good point :-) il get a look on here for an idea on the price for that, suppose got wheels and interior already so could be a good way to go, cheers

bungy 2
I'm sure an S3 will be as expensive as a turbo'd VR6.

Lukey. 381
you wouldnt get much for your VR6 anyway, sad but true, yes its worth a fortune to us but to anyone else they are at least a 14yr old mk3 golf that is expensive to run = bad for resale.so SORN the VR6 and get a 1.8T S3, then slowly save up and the VR6 can be an awesome build project.Best plan ever! Dickyvr6 0
My mates thinking about buying it off me for 1800. A black 3dr highline but with black leather recaros out of a colour concept, black smoothed bbs wheels, lowered 40mm and full exhaust. The paint work aint to bad, little bit of rust bubbling up here n there. Would u say 1800 to much? If he decides not to buy it then, i will start the vrt asap :-)
