shawry 0 Posted April 23, 2011 Report Share Posted April 23, 2011 Looking at shedding some weight out of me 4door vr6 but I need 4 seats still as I have 2 kids was thinking of stripping all the sound deadening out from under the carpets and fitting some light weight front seats how much do u reckOn I could save ??? Bigjobbo 0 Posted April 23, 2011 Report Share Posted April 23, 2011 Sound deadening roughly 3-4kgs, depending on seats i would say the standard seats weigh 12-13kgs and as an example our Cobras weigh 10 each. Sunroof blanked off so you lose the glass and the cassette, spare wheel for tyre weld, so no jack. A/C ripped out, lightweight battery, plastic windows, lightweight wheels? Unfortunately the rear seat backrest is a biggy. We are now down to cutting bits of unrequired steel out of the car. Link to post Share on other sites
