Antihero1981 8 Posted April 17, 2011 Report Share Posted April 17, 2011 one of the allen key bolts on the rear brake disc mounting has started to round off and cant get it out!!!! what the best way to sort it out ? its the last disc and pad i need to change........been a day from hell , need some clues how to sort itthanks Link to post Share on other sites
finny 0 Posted April 17, 2011 Report Share Posted April 17, 2011 Have you tried whacking in an oversized spline into the recess of the rounded bolt? has worked for some.I did the same as you, rounding off the bolt and the oversized spline trick didn't work for me.Not much access around there and the easiest thing/ only solution was to angle grind the carrier off. So you'll need a replacement carrier and new bolts of course if you go this route. Link to post Share on other sites
