Fitting boost gauge to VR6

Hi all

I have just bought a boost gauge for my vr (vf stage 2 charger)

I put a t-piece inbertween the manifold and the fpr

The vac is working fine but the boost isent going past 2psi

Any clues to what I'm doing wrong guys

Also car is running fine and should be putting out about 8psi

should have a spare nipple to feed of the brake sevrvo line...well I did and hooked my schrick and gauge up to it

The dv is conected to the spare nib on the brake servo (well on the one way valve next to the header tank)

That's where I put it first but it did the same but I gessed the non-return valve might have been stopping it

Also I would of thought a 6psi boost leak would have made the car down on power but it's fine

is the gauge new or used?i got a new one put it in the same place and mine works fine,maybe a duff gauge?

when does it make 2 psi ?? most vortech chargers including mine do not make there full boost until its fully wound up / or at the redline .

mine only makes 2/3 psi up until 4k then builds progressivly .

t the feed for the dump valve off the fpr , and the boost gauge of the brake booster pipe ( green nipple )

thats how i ran my old vr6 turbo .

Or take it from the Throttle itself.

All fixed now, the needle on the gauge was getting stick, so a few puffs with the airline and it's all good
