Hi got this car with the problem been doing research and iv checked the handbreak "switch" thats ok also disconected the break fluid float and light is still on so did a vag com scan or errors on abs and came back with this

4 Faults Found:

00285 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor: Front Right (G45)

35-00 - -

01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump (V64)

16-00 - Signal Outside Specifications

00290 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor: Rear Left (G46)

35-00 - -

00287 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor: Rear Right (G44)

35-00 - -

Can anyone help i guess i need new speed sensors and a abs pump :( also is it safe to drive it like this ???

I would suggest clearing the codes and seeing what comes back before buying bits, but l would think that you will end up replacing the speed sensors :(

it should be safe to drive, but you wont have abs, your brakes should still work fine, if l am wrong someone will be along to correct me :)

Cleard the codes and they came stright back!!! do you think i need an abs pump or just speed sensors??

hhmm thats never fun :( I would start with changing the sensors and see if that sorts it and if not then start looking at the pump, as l am sure you dont really want to buy a new pump if you dont need it :) but as you appear to need to change 3 of the sensors l would just replace all 4 while your at it :)

Would i just need to unplug the pump in the engine bay.??

To be honest l am not sure, I would guess it is a simple case of unplugging the pump and sensors ect… but to stop the light coming on you would need to get it mapped out or as above find a dial set to replace it with :)
