Engine Courier?

Hi guys,

I recently bought a VR6 off ebay, but I am debating whether to drive the 3 hour mission to pick it up personally, or arrange for a courier to collect, the seller says it is fine either way, anyone had any experience in couriering a engine? Obviously im worried about damages incurred and things, but it would be cheaper then the diesel used to get there and back..

Any advice will be a huge help,
