dan_a 1 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Share Posted March 2, 2011 Hi all,Noticed when driving my 95 vr6 yesterday that the engine wasn't sounding a sweet as usual. After checking under the bonnet it seemed a little hot and the water in the expansion tank was low. I then looked down by the alternator to discover water in that area. I started the engine and looked down underneath the drivers front wheel and I could clearly see water leaking from the pump.Has the pump failed? It is a big job?Any advice gratefully received! Pearsy47 1 Posted March 2, 2011 Report Share Posted March 2, 2011 the only way to have a look at that pump is to take the rack pipe off and have a look at the blades! only way you would be able to see it ! plus if water is pissing out from the pump then yea its leaking i would say its a fair old job aswell ! depends on how good are you of takin the motor apart lol Link to post Share on other sites
