euroduber 0 Posted February 13, 2011 Report Share Posted February 13, 2011 hi guys, im in the middle of replacing the engine in my auto golf vr6, when i took the engine and box out, the engine turned over nicely to be able to get the bolts out for the torque converter, but now i have mated the old box with the new engine, it wont turn over. the engine turned over before it was mated with the box and im pretty sure i have done nothing wrong. why will it not turn over? ive tried it in all the gear positions (if it is actually changing gear by me turning the plate on the top of the 'box)is there anthing i need to do to get it to work or do i just risk it and put it back in the car and turn the key (after spending many confused days trying to re-wire it) haha.many thanks in advance! cheers, stu.
