Rayhoop 0 Posted February 7, 2011 Report Share Posted February 7, 2011 Hi all,My VR failed its MOT recently, one issue was identified as "excessive play in off side steering tie rod end"I replace the tie rods with VAG parts, but the play is still there (same amount), the steering arm appears to move in line with the 'play'. However the near side steering arm/wheel is still during the test.... so it appears either the inner joint on the steering arm has play, or the rack is knackered.Any ideas how much work is required to change the inner steering arm joint?
