ChrisG 0 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Share Posted January 13, 2011 A week or so ago my motor started running like a bag of spanners and after having a (quick) look around here I'm wondering if it's the coil pack.Tonight I decided to start her up and remove the leads one at a time to see if it made a difference to the way the engine ran, and found that only 2 made a difference, to the point where I had 4 leads off, the car was still running but no different to when I first started her up!!!Does this sound like the coil pack? Or does anyone have any other ideas? Money is a little tight at the mo and I don't want to waste it on parts I don't need if I can avoid it :-(Cheers in advance, Chris Link to post Share on other sites

Miss-Vw 2 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Share Posted January 13, 2011 Try and borrow a coil pack from someone if you can, could quite possibly be the problem. My coilpack packed up just before xmas, car wasnt running on all cylinders because of it and it was sounding like a noisy subaru. Fitted a new one and problem solved.
