liamellis11 0 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 I have a mk 3 vr6 and im looking to convert my engine in to a mk2. I want a low mileage mk 2 with history and no or very little rust. gti's are just silly money at the moment so i just wanted to know if i was to get a mk2 driver or any non gti mk2, is the chassis capable of handling vr6 power? Do i have everything needed to convert or is there any other parts which im going to need? Iv been told id need a corrado pedal set to run the hydrolic clutch but there must be a bit more to it than that. Im pretty new to the v dub world and this is going to be my first project. I just want to get all the bits i need together first so when i get my mk2 i can paint it and maybe sit it on a stand at some shows this year. thanksLiam Link to post Share on other sites
legvw 0 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Share Posted January 12, 2011 Yeah using a mk2 driver should be fine, still the same body/chassis as the gti's, and you should be able to just swap everything over.Yes you could use a corrado pedal box, but i'm sure you could modify the mk2 and mk3 pedals boxes to run the hydraulic clutch.Have a look on here, very helpful http://mk2vr6.com/board/index.php Link to post Share on other sites
