Smurf 0
Can anyone tell me a good reason as to why I can't run my VR6 with a 904 coil ie a cheap VW polo coil costing 34 quid as opposed to a 100 pound VR6 coil. I've replace my VR6 coil after it failed and touchwood the polo coil works better cost 10 pounds from the scrappo. I've run it like this for over a year now and I have 2 spares 904's just incase! Wonder if there are other polo parts that could be used!!Yes I know the bolts don't fit !!
thegoth 5
I run a mk3 16V coil in mine for a while. All I can think off that the coil life will be reduced as it's having to do 50% more work. But as you say for the difference in price, and availabilty, it's a bit of a none brainer. I suspect that the hall sender from one polo or other might be the same as that in a vr6 dizzy but don't quote me.
