clash0901 0 Posted November 6, 2010 Report Share Posted November 6, 2010 i just bought my mk3 vr6 gti and the previous owner painted the whole interior white.........so i wanna take everything off but before i do i wanted to know the step by step to taking the dash out. is it hard? jason2875 0 Posted November 7, 2010 Report Share Posted November 7, 2010 It's not hard to do just takes time start with glove box then pass airbag ,airbag is connected up with a yellow plug take care when Removing this,steering wheel next ,behind all the airvents are screws as well ,all the stereo and heater controls Need to b removed use a flat headed screw driver to pop the vents out,now open bonnet remove the rain tray were your windscreen wipers are you will find a screw at each end these screws go through the bulkhead one comes out from were u removed the pass airbag I also removed the part that goes round the gearstick handbreak as it was easier to remove the dash it's only a rough guide this any pics needed email me as I have lots good luck Link to post Share on other sites
