Alarm problem, sorry its not a dub

hi my mate needs some help she has a 96 216 coupe

when she bought the car 4 months ago the guy she got it off never told her that it had an alarm. she has no key fobs, just the one key

last month she went to get in it and the alarm went off nearly scaring her half to death lol

after leaving it over night it started 1st time and never had the problem again

until yesterday

went to sainsburys and done shopping and went back to the car, got in fine and then when she went to start it the alarm went off.

she had to leave it there all night and i went back come with her today to get it. we took the battery off for 5 ish mins and then started the car fine with no problems at all.

just now she went to start it again and the alarm has gone off again, then took the battery off again and reconnected it after 4 mins and the alarm went off straight away. tried that again leaving the battery off longer and still keeps going off.

now as soon as the battery is reconnected the alarm starts

so now the car is sat outside with the battery off completly.

any help would be greatly appreciated

it has a code you can put in on the door lock but you will need to find it out probably from the main dealer
