inahat 0
HiCan anyone help?Car runs fine for the first 5 minutes, then goes rough as if it is a missfire. There is a burning smell that then comes along, plus smoke/steam not sure which.Have plugged it in to VAGCOM and it is saying 00533 - Idle Speed Regulation- Adaptation Limit (Add) ExceededI believe this is the throttle body and I have tried cleaning in while it is still attached, but obviously can't do a fantastic job. Confused by the burning smell though and the fact it will run OK for 5 minutes. So can anybody suggest any other ideas? or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and remove it.Got any tutorial for doing this, can only see 2 bolts, there must be more?was just about to sell it when this happened, sods law and all that :-#thanksStu

VR6Nat 9
then yeah, take it off and give it a clean, its easy to do, only takes 5 mins to remove, make sure its totally dry when its put back in... check your engine hasnt leaked oil somewhere cuz it might be that burning off that you can smellthe 'how to guides' are stored in the premium member section so you wont be able to view them until you become a premium member
