capco 0
i own a 2001 glx with an automatic transmission and it has always been pretty quick. today i started it up and the Check Engine Light is on and it is very very sluggish from 0-60mph but after that it takes off quite well. i had a mechanic drive it today and he said he didnt see anything wrong with it as we got up to 120+mph. i told myself okay and on the way home i got stopped on a hill. the car normally rolls freely backwards down hill but now it wont budge like a brake is on. also it wouldnt budge until nearly 2500rpms. i have no clue why this is happening and it is very frustrating lol..any tips or advice would be appreciatedthanks! Udi Siag 0
check your car on VAG-COM for any fault code..and about the feels like the brake is on try to clean your throttle body , it will help
Vw_owner 1
did the mechanic not investigate as to why your ECL is on in the first place? as above get your car scanned for faults but seeing as that mechanic failed to do so i would take your car somewhere more vw friendly
