probert993 0 Posted August 29, 2010 Report Share Posted August 29, 2010 i have had abs problems since i can remember, car is late 96 p reg abs is late teves 20 eds set up standard when car was built, started with continous rhs rear sensor fault eventually put it down to dodgy abs ecuhad it re soldered and put new sensor on rhs rear cos wire snapped all was ok, then days later got fault for lhs rear so changed sensor, this worked for a bit but then light back on at first could re start engine drive off and it would clear but now its continous not had chance to get rescanned for faults yet suppose when i do will know morebut question for now is when driving normally even when bone dry on roads sometimes when i brake i feel resistance on brake pedal feels like grinding when i brake like abs is trying to kick in pedal is hardly pushed down for this to happen , ANY IDEAS?? feels weird doesnt happen everytime i brake just sometimes , had rear discs off yesterday sensors clean rings clean no damage both same distance away etcreaching end of my tether now with abs Link to post Share on other sites

probert993 0 Posted September 2, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 2, 2010 right got on my mates vag com code is for left rear sensor again and outside parameters left rear, al though its new sensor? Noticed when i re fitted abs ring /rotor it sat flush apart from a small part that was slightly raised could this be giving dodgy reading or is it im just unlucky and have another dodgy sensor , ideas? probert993 0 Posted September 3, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 3, 2010 have got new sensor now, told company it was playin up so got new one now, also picking up genuine ring from vw tomorrow so there both goin on tomorrow so fingers crossed now!
