[moved] just an idea - what do you think ? zandvoort race circuit weekend 15min from Amsterdam

been looking at zandvoort race circuit in zandvoort,holland. it is a historical track running f3 and dtm touring cars and such like, it is 25 mins from the sea port of Hoek Van Holland which leaves Harwich Essex. or there is another line from Newcastle to within 10 miles of the Hoek. the circuit is bang on the beach which is one of the most popular beaches in Holland. its a popular seaside town so b&b should not be a problem , i have a friend who lives in Zandvoort who could find out for sure if this idea where to go ahead. its 5 mins from the train station,which then takes you into the centre of Amsterdam in 15mins, many other nice towns to visit too that are within the hour to reach by car or train. in short a racing weekend with a beach opposite and the best nightlife in holland just 15mins away.petrol costs should be minimum as so few miles to drive no date or anything ,just a see how the interest goes type thread.

Might be worth checking out :-)

Will be interesting to see what the response from others is on this one. Only problem I see is that the Ring is the choice of track to visit and I can't see it being beaten. . .

But having said that...... This is near a beach, so Chicks in Bikini's ? :-)

Looking at the events and calendar I don't actually see it being open to the public at any point. . . . Only reason I would want to go is if it was to drive it.

soz Craig, knew id put it in the wrong place as soon as i posted. doh!

im pretty sure they have test days,track days and such, will have to check for sure,but i agree,only if we can drive the track.

and its yards from the beach,which has a naturist area (easy tiger) lol. but it is the best beach in holland for sure and you could kick a ball from the track to the beach. ill phone and ask bout the racing. also maybe we could latch onto another vag or dub event as there are loads over there.

just phoned them, couldnt hear too well as dtm cars where quailifying in the back ground lol ,sounded mean though, the lady said yes we do open days ,but not made a 2011 calender yet. could we email them for dates, so thats what ill do
