Car tax renewal

My tax, mot and insurance all come in the same month which is not good. When my renewal for my car tax came through I can't help but think there is something fundamentally wrong.

12 months road fund licence = £245

6 months road fund licence = £134.75 x 2 = £269.50

Surely admin can't cost £24.50 for a tax disc?

Seems like pure profiteering from those that can't afford to be fleeced in the first place.

I allways new that buying 6months tax twice was dearer then buying 12months but not that much dearer. Thats crazy

Ridiculous really. I only want to space the bills out a bit and then buy annually in six months so the bills don't all come at once. Think i'll just pay for the 12 months.

Why not just do a 6 month now, then a year when thats up, to stager the costs a bit.

But yeah, its not right at all, its all done by a computer now anyway, which costs next to fuck all to run anyway!!!!!

get a year then get another year in 5 months 3 weeks time, as you are allowed to get a tax disc 14 days preceeding its start date, and send the first one back on the last day of the month, therefore getting maximum refund on it, then you havent paid the extra twice,

ive done it before and will be doing it again this time as i just had to tax and insure in the same month £££££££££

piss take that its gone up £15 instead of the usual £5, fleecing fcuking government tarts

Wow well how strange is that, I thought my tax had gone up a lot. I paid £105.25 last year for 6 months and now it is £112.75 going up by £7 and for 12 months it is £205. That is quite an epic difference.
