LadVR 0
I posted a few weeks back about not starting, wasnt getting any power to the fuel pump. I changed lots of things, in the end it turned out to be the fusebox.Changed the fusebox and now the engine fires and runs for about a second then cuts out. So im thinking its the transponder. All the wiring appears to be ok and if I unplug the lead from the transponder to the ignition barrel it just turns over without firing. So im thinking it must be doing something at least. My question is does vag-com read/do anything with the transponder? I've just aquired a diagnostic lead to wire in as there wasnt one on my loom. Its been driving ok for about 6-7 years, do the transponders pack up?Can I change the transponder or do i need to get a key/barrel/ecu/transponder from another car? Many questions I know but im looking at torching it!! LadVR 0
Cheers mate, I thought it would be. Rebuilt the car from ground up, then painted it and its the final thing stopping me getting it back on the road!
