VR6Toby 0
I've got a Mk3 Golf VR6 that has not been driven in a year now. I plan to remove the engine from the car as it is a 5dr, and install it into the 1.4 CL 3dr I've got. I've been told that for the conversion I will need to seam weld the chassis to strengthen it inorder to take the heavier engine, is this true?
binliner 0
markgolf is the man to talk to... he's doing the same conversion
MarkGolf 6
Thats definetly NOT true! If you were putting a 2.0 in a nova, then yes..But with Golfs, all the chassis' are the same luckily, so easy conversion which Im going through! Any questionE-mail/MSN = Mbyrne338@hotmail.comYour lucky as you got the VR6 Golf there, so transfer bits one by one!
