theblueflash 0
after selling my kerchers as they were not my thing i still cant decide what to run on my car. I part ex'd them with some audi pepperpots and cash my way as i needed something to move the car with but they dont really suit it and the 60 and 65 profile tyres are rubbing. a lot! so i have two weeks to find alternatives before she goes in to have the sills finished, the rear quarters/front wings and doors sprayed. I dont want to have them on when its done as i'll be rubbing fresh paint off the car. found these cheap but bmw adapters are expensive so may not run themthoughts? i wasnt sure but now they're up against the car i quite like them. i really fancy a set of bbs rxII but want a 7" set any other ideas and opinions welcome. pics would be helpful. cheers

theblueflash 0
How much are the adapters to make them fit?i think £150 a pair. dont really want to pay out for new ones. especially with tyres, fresh paintwork and the welding ive just had done. never normally this tight but got two holidays in the next 3 months so have to compromise somewhere. on the lookout for a second hand set at the right price. theblueflash 0
another shot to help decideive decided to keep these rims as ive found some adapters at a good price. just need to hear back from the guy selling them. they are et20. the adapters im hoping to buy are 20mm so that will make it an offset of 0.anybody run an offset of '0' on their car? particularly with 7.5j at the front. im curious to know if their is any arch or inner clearance problems. pic would be nice if anyone can put some up. just so i know what to expect.cheers
legvw 0
I think you'll need some serious arch rolling going on mate! The higher the et, the further the wheel is under the arch! But i love em', make them fit!! :-)
theblueflash 0
this was what i had on the car when i bought it. they were 9j et15they rubbed the side walls of the tyres at the rear. Im not good at the maths when it comes to wheel offsets but how much further in am i with the new rims if they are 7.5j et0????
VR6_Absy 0
Loving the BMWs but you'll have serious rubbage issues without arch work. What spacers did you have with the Borbets ? If your old rears had 20mm spacers the BMWs with 20mm will sit out by a further 13mm :-(You keeping the Borbets ?
theblueflash 0
they were kerchers and they were 5x100 so a straight fit. so im thinking the bmw rims will sit a little further in. I sold them a few weeks ago. sorry
theblueflash 0
the answer to the question is no, they wont fit. this is a pic of them on the car without any spacers. obviously with 20mm adapters (thinnest i know that are available) they will be et0 and are going to stick out a mile. Ben Seabrook 4
get the wheels re-drilled to 5/100 ?
theblueflash 0
safe? cost? never thought about it as they stick so bloody far out. would need some serious camber adjustment to get them to tuck in. the arches are rolled but cant stretch to flaring etc.
