theboffin 0 Posted June 22, 2010 Report Share Posted June 22, 2010 Hi allthis is my 154,000 mile 5 door purple violet Highline!.owned for a couple of months now,i'm 4th owner and have service history, all books, inc factory fitted Scorpion Full closure alarm... has usual chain rattle and rust in cills, but has had a reasonable spray job at some point so looks good inc a nice set of 17 inch RS4 replicas..(need a spare rim if anyone can help?)!..air con and electrics all work and just replaced drivers seat base foam due to usual bolster wear, this is my third VR6, last two were earlier OBD1 cars 1992 and 1994 both in tornado red!I love VR's but i'm wrestling with what to do with this one as ive found rust in both cills and floors due to some idot grounding it at some point which folded round the cill seam and trapped the water in those areas!...also expensive to do chains too, although engine pulls well with no smoke and just a drop of mayonaise on the cap now and again.looking to come along to GTI international as it's local to me..are any guys from the leciestershire area going in convoy?..and are you having a club stand?cheersadam Link to post Share on other sites
