DreadedDev 0 Posted June 19, 2010 Report Share Posted June 19, 2010 Hi there,Still trying to track down the cause of the oil leak which after long periods of driving is getting onto the exhaust and smoking :-#One of the guys recommended to check the rocker cover and looking online some guys on a BMW thread have had the same issue.... so can someone post (or e-mail to i_moores at hotmail dot com) a pic of the rear of the engine highlighting where the rocker cover (probably the gasket) is so i an check if this is leaking at all? I know this is really basic stuff but without a Haynes I'm useless, it's been my bible on all my other cars!!! ThanksIan Link to post Share on other sites
CALICO 130 Posted June 19, 2010 Report Share Posted June 19, 2010 you shouldnt need a haynes manual to see where the rocker cver ends and the head starts just follow it around from the front or side of the block if it is obd 2 it would normally have a black rocker cover earlier ones are metal if you have a look on the rocker cover thread you should be able to find part numbers for both Link to post Share on other sites
