legvw 0
There is (on the sony loom) a yellow and red lead, which can be swapped or joined, can't remember off the top of me head, but have a play til it holds memory, and switches on an off with the key! :-)
Just_Paul 0
i had the same problem in my stereo... if you take it out, on the back, there should be 2 bullet connectors, with clear rubbery casings, one will be yellow and one will be red, i would imagine you have connected the red wires together, and the yellow together; its actually red to yellow, and vice versa!! :S
Just_Paul 0
Sorry dude, also... welcome!!
Deegolfvr6 0
Thanks for the fast replys guys and the welcome.I had a play about with the yellow and red wires and the only way the cd player will turn on is when the red and yellow wires are plugged into only one wire (the yellow with the double connection). If I plug red to red and yellow to yellow no power to the cd player the same thing if I plug red to yellow and yellow to red. any ideas of the problem?
b road blaster 0
sounds like you only have a switched live and no permanent live in there you could just use a small 12v bulb in a holder with the 2 wires comeing out of it and earth one wire to a good point then see if when you touch the other wire to the one's in your car it lights up with the ignition off if it does'nt then you got no perm livethen just run new one from the battery or fuse box makeing sure you put a inline fuse in (hope that makes sence)
legvw 0
Have you checked the fuses, for the permenant live?
