blebrun16 0
i am thinking about turbo'ing my mk3 vr6. I found a head gasket and spacer that lowers the cr to 8.7:1. want to run around a 60 trim at around 12psi. do you think this would be safe and reliable? yes i know i have to get all the supporting mods injectors, tunning, fuel, etc. would like to know if anyone has experience with this thanks
rodney 17
Loads... If you do a search... I know you are in the USofA but dont be afraid to look at the Stealth Kit all you would then need is the manifold... Also they know everything... LOL...That said the Turbo boys will be along soon... AJmk2 2
Yea that should be good for just over 15 psi , 9:1 limits you to around 15 psi and around 8.5 is lower so you could run more boost than that.
matty.vrt 120
I think he means 8.7 as in a 8.5 spacer with later style 3 layer head gasket, in witch case i run 24psi ok on that set up.
