Private plates

Can a private plate be transfered to any car. Im thinking of taking mine of my car when i sell it and either selling it seperatly or putting it onto a 4motion when i get it. Could this be done reg is the one in my avatar.

Yes you can...as long as you dont make your car look younger than it is............ie no putting a R plate onto a 1995 car

Also how do i go about putting it onto retentions and getting a normal plate for my car.

Nope.....new one has a very good plate on already. SO gonna sell mine....Tony might have it he says

download a v317 form from dvla, send all docs + £125 and a month later,it should be done. they may want to inspect the cars first though but thats done in the month if there gonna.

It's a £105 for 1 years retention. I have just removed my 2 plates.

just done mine and it was £105 2 put it retention 4 a year, then £80 2 put it on ur nxt car. if u hav both v5's u can simply transfer it 4 £80
