sparkyjr 0
Right im trying to install some new indicators (relocated) the original bulbs are 21w and the new bulbs are 5w how do i mod them to work properly and if its adding resistors do they go in parrell or series and what sizes. Thanks in advance as i am baffled.
vr6stormt 0
i just done this the resistor bridges across both wires and the resistor you want is a 10ohm 30 or 50w ceramic wound, maplins dont do them this powerfull so you will have to buy it on line from rs or other they are about £1.50 each
rodney 17
look at the r32 thread... and chat to VR6stormt they are working on something similar,,,
sparkyjr 0
cool i take it you ment 10 ohms and 30 w or 50w?If you dont mind me asking how did you work that out????
vr6stormt 0
sorry mate it`s a 10ohm 25watt high power wire wound resistor they are £3 from rs you need x2 one for each side and they go on to little alloy heatsink`s and then you can bolt it out the way i will edit tomorrow with the part number for the right one`s and i have some spare alloy heatsinks you can have if you want,, as for the invoice for the headlight`s couldn`t find it...i think it was called racerbitz dot com... sparkyjr 0
dohh just recieved 50 w resistors, o well if you can post the part no that would be great, also that would be great about the heatsink. Keep in contact.

sparkyjr 0
maybe a really stupid question but what is heat sink and can you explain the procces to include compound. Thanks
vr6stormt 0
heat-sink is the alloy part drawing the heat away from the resistor,, the compound goes between the 2 parts to get max contact between surfaces
