vr6 advice

hi guys im new here,

just looking for alittle advice on changing the rocker cover gasket on a mk3 vr6,

just need to know if im meant to fit the gasket dry or use alittle engine oil to help seal it?

the car is a low milegde vr6 with 53k on the clock,

Mate, Every time Ive done one, always used a bit of Dirty oil on it!

Make sure you get a small Blade and swipe it round the head to remove any small pieces of the old gasket thats sittin there!!! (h)
