BMC CDA Help Fitting!

Recommended Posts

I tried fitting this induction kit to my golf vr6, it didn't fit straight onto the pipe so i used a rubber bunge to make it fit but did have no room for my cold air feed so i left it off, i drove it like this and it was lagging like mad! help with this would be great. Thanks.

More info would be usefull. lagging do you mean its unresponsive?

Is it a new BMC or secondhand?

Have you got oil on the maf if so try cleaning it?

Are all jubile clips done up tightly etc

If you sign up for premium mebership there a guide to fitting BMC in the knoweldge vault. The job is rather simple and should take no longer then 30mins. Have you got any pics of how uve fitted it

you should have the CDA 85-150 for the VR6 engine, so should have an 85mm size inlet/outlet but does need reducing down to the maf which i think is 3" which is about 76mm, i managed to stretch some samco the right size for the MAF onto the BMCs neck, try disconnecting your battery overnight so the ECU forgets the fuel trims etc, then when you re connect it start and let it idle for 5 mins or so, it will re learn with new information
