Coilover selection..decisions

Hey y'all,

making a bit of a list of things to do on the '6',...at the mo more a list of needs than wants,like, poly bushes, drop links,ball joints(to stiffen and sure up front end...feeling not all great to me) bearings,discs,pads all round. As im sure your aware, even though the mark 3 bits and bobs are too badly priced, its all adding up..

One thing i do want to try get on the 'want' list is coileys,..thinking if im doing all the above now's the time. Now obviously with £££'s adding up i cant go for the more desirable weitec,spax,avo etc so, doing a bit of looking on a popular auction site ive spyed a few cheaper sets. So if anyone has the following,experienced, or info to get or not get on the following...be much appreciated.

i got a set of fk coilys only been on the car for4 month`s still under warranty might be getting something a bit different so i will sell these for £100?

i got a set of tein fully hight & damp adj from a mitsy evo 5 just need to fab the back fixing point on the rear beem ive also got scooby drift spec adjustable top mounts on the front she can have a monster stance

sounds like it,....in fact a couple hundred on coils now sounds a bit sorry.... lol

how do you find the fk's though??

they have got tvr 360lb 10.5" springs on the front and they are spot on before i done this though the front was a bit bouncy with that heavy v6 up front but the plans i got for it i need more adjustment

See the hottuning ones i spotted are like 180 odd quid, free delivery, fully adjustable, 3 years warranty....but not heard of hottunning coilovers before, fk yes, thats basically why im putting the feelers out. Obv like to go more expensive but when you look at 180 i prob couldnt really get standard springs,shocks etc for much less.

yep they are defo gettin cheaper are the one`s you are looking at hight and damper adjustable?i think alot of the cheep ones are made by a german company jom etc and re-labled i read a us thread about this and yet for a set of coilys for around £200 cant be bad

never had them but not heard good things about the hottuning ones IE: not well built ,rust quick and not the best ride but as you say for 180 what do you expect

Oh forgot to add JSRaid coilovers too.

Doesnt say damper adjustable, all the spiel written up sounds quite impressive but then thats what its supposed to do,draw you in.lol if you got 2 mins take a peak on the old ebay search 'vw golf vr6 mk3 coilovers' only throws 7 or 8 up
