Got my car back today after having a Koni sport suspension kit and Powerflex bushes fitted.

It feels great, feels like a new car. It looks good but probably not as low as most people like to have it. I went for a 35mm drop on the springs and a pair of 10mm lowering caps for the front. To me it looks like it could have been lowered like that in the factory and doesn't look like a modified car, which is what I want.

I was hoping the height would be the same as the kit that was on it before but it looks a little higher, about 10mm higher. Maybe it will settle a bit or maybe I will get some 10mm lowering caps for the rear and some Supersport top mounts for the front, that will give me another 10mm drop all round.

As far as rubbing goes, it was perfect until I put spacers on the rear. With 20mm spacers on either side at the back I now get very slight rubbing at the back, if I'm going round a corner fast and there is a bump in the road or if I go over a speed bump a bit fast. If I take it easy on corners and speed bumps there is no rubbing. The rubbing is so light that it hardly makes a mark on the tire, it doesn't cut into the tire like I have seen on some lowered cars.

The ride is good, it's very firm but smooth and comfortable. I can still feel the road but I don't feel it in my back and neck like I did before. I have adjustable damping, the fronts can be adjusted from under the bonet and I have them set at about a quarter of a turn from the firmest position, the rears can't be adjusted whilst on the car, they have been set at 50% which is maybe a little soft. I will probably stiffen them up to 75%.

Does any one know if there is a way to adjust the rears without taking them off the car?

I will post some pictures as soon as I can

The suspension has already started to settle, it's about the same as it was on the old springs now, maybe a couple of mm higher but it will probably settle some more over the next few days.

I need to take the spacers off the back now, it has started rubbing on the back when I go over any bumps at speed.

The offside has had some welding on the arch and the guy trimmed the back of the arch a bit, so I would have more room. He did a very good job and the wheel doesn't rub on that side with the spacer on, so I will have the other arch trimmed the same.

Below are some pics with out the spacers on the rear.

Without the spacers there is no rubbing at all.

This morning I tried softening the front springs, it's very comfortable with the stiffness at about 25%.
