Antihero1981 8
hi , need to uprate the brakes on the vento as decieded they are not stopping the vento quick enough.i see you can do a 312mm upgrade but was thinking of something more powerfulhow easy is it to fit r32 brakes to a vento vr6?thanks
bungy 2
The 312mm from a TT or 4mo is an easy upgrade and the discs and pads aren't too expensive. Check out the price of R32 discs before you go that route. They are pricey.
Antihero1981 8
what about rears? are they the same as vr6 ones? i wanna uprate all round
soul-2-soul 3
I agree with Bungy look at the 312 option first unless you are going for silly power. Rears do not do that much so personally would not upgrade these in size - just use better pads & get new discs if the current ones have seen better days. Consider changing your brake fluid at the time on the upgrade as well if this has not been done recently
legvw 0
No rear r32 discs are vented, your probably best to just go with mk4 calipers to go over your original discs.Front r32 route:Pair of ebc disc- £200Pads ebc- £70S/S lines- £60Might be an idea to upgrade your master cylinder too ;-)
Antihero1981 8
whats the best upgrade for the master cylinder? so the mk4 r32 calipers the better upgrade? how easy to fit?my calipers are pretty close to wheel as it is now
legvw 0
Yes if they fit under your wheels, some 17" wheels will work, but 18" is prefured. If not 312mm conversion will do, quite well and should fit under 16" wheels. But as soul-2-soul said, r32 brakes are for serious power, imo i'd use the 312mm brakes. There is a thread on here about fitting 312 brakes, have a look, its pretty simple. craggsy 91
312s will be more than enough mate. I only lol have 300 give or take and I stop very well. I do use yellow stuff all round as well
bungy 2
Well worth changing your flexible lines aswell for better pedal feel.
