setting electrics for new sunroof

I have recently bought a 1992 VW Golf VR6 2.8L It has new motors for all electric windows that work fine. It was also fitted with a new sunroof but the electrics haven't been properly set. The sunroof doesn't know where to stop, so it will go backwards and forwards, up and down without clicking into a fully closed position without lots of messing around with the control button and does not properly connect to the central locking system ie won't close when the central locking sensor is activated.

Are there any electrical maps available? The guy who fitted the sunroof is willing to sort out the problem if I can find information.

there must be a way to adjust the stopping point of the sunroof though ?
