Delboy 0 Posted January 1, 2010 Report Share Posted January 1, 2010 The time has come to treat my vr to a service and get the braks done and I have started to collect the bits i need, having looked through previous threads and taken recommendations, but still open to suggestions for parts or anything you good people think I need todo or look out for. These are the bits I have so far:Genuine VW oil filter and sump washer VW oil (Quantum platinum 5w-40 fully synthetic) VW brake fluid VW coolant (G12) VW fuel filter VW air filterParts I plan to order:Dubpower Premium HT leads NGK platinum plugs (BKR5EKUP) Link to post Share on other sites

Delboy 0 Posted January 1, 2010 Author Report Share Posted January 1, 2010 Well when i brought it I asked for the synta silver (excuse spelling) which was recommended on here and was told that VW have reclassifed their oils and this was the same as what synta silver was, what oil would you suggest in its place? Did not know about pollen filter have added that to my list thank you. Only reason I looked at different leads as I felt the VW ones were very expensive, even magnecor leads are cheaper than VW, plus dubpower ones seemed to get a good review from a couple of people.
