terrorste 0
]Hi people.I Really thought my car was of fire earlier, but the bonnet was cold so i opened it up to find water all over the place. I found out that whenever i rev'd the engine water was squirting out of a pipe straight on to the manifold downpipe. it's the pipe thats wrapped in tape. it goes from a small inlet pipe into a t shaped big pipe one end going towards the dash and other into the engine. (sorry i'm no good explaining things)Anyone know how much this part is and how hard it is to change? part number would be helpful too. Thanks
Rikki 2
You can just snip back the small hose and block it until you get one just make sure you do the other one going to the throttle body otherwise you'll lose all your water. Its there to circulate water to stop the butterfly freezing in cold conditions. It goes to the bulkhead and is for the heater matrix if that helps dont know what its called but they pop up on ebay now and then
terrorste 0
Thanks Rikki I will have a go at that tomorrow. oh and in the small pipe there is like a bit of metal inside it so if i snip it back will it fit back in?
thegoth 5
the metal is on the throttle body. in that case, you might get away with cutting the pipe at the split and stretching it back onto the TB
RAPgolfvr6182 2
if ur going to cut the split out put the water pipe in hot water first for a while it expnads it making it easier to puch on
