Servicing/Repairs Glasgow area

Looking for reliable garage for servicing and repairs who know there stuff with regards to the VR in or around Glasgow area, don't want to go near the VW stealers ~ , once bitten and all that ~ .

I second the nomination for Star, I'm in Aberdeen and I get them to do all my work that I can't do myself.

Star did the suspension and exhaust along with induction and engine mount happy with the work, just can't be a***ed with travelling to Fife at this time of year and was hoping that I could find someone closer to home.

VW on crow road have been ok the few times ive used them. Theres also Donaldsons VW just off the roundabout on the clydeside expressway that are supposed to be ok.

Bedrock VW is a specialist out in Motherwell, really know there stuff but ive found them a bit expensive.

Personally I normally make the trip to Star, unless its a job I can manage myself.

I've used Donaldsons for more years than I care to think about, have always been okay on the GTI but not sure if they see many VRs.

Definite no no for Bedrocks a few friends have been stung in the past

btw personal opinion because I know a lot of people that are happy with them

as it's only servicing and brakes it looks like donaldsons is going to win it
