Pearsy47 1 Posted November 25, 2009 Report Share Posted November 25, 2009 mate thats what happened to me, the way i done it i had to cut the one side off and leave the other side soaking in wd40 which helpped alot plus use the short side of the allen key as its the strongest part !!! Pearsy47 1 Posted November 25, 2009 Report Share Posted November 25, 2009 Here is a pic of the top hat bit which i had to cut and replace and getting that part isn t easy ! as you can see with the green arrow there are some scars from the angle grinder lol and with the red arrow and the red lines is the bit i cut into then bent the bits of that top bit up then it just fell out lol Link to post Share on other sites

gavinvr6 0 Posted November 26, 2009 Report Share Posted November 26, 2009 if your not planning on re-using the old suspension grip the shock shaft with locking grip's or something similar and use a wheel breaker bar with impact socket on the strut nut. at worst you'll actually snap the top off the strut where the nut is, but atleast it's removed Link to post Share on other sites
