kie_dub 0 Posted November 24, 2009 Report Share Posted November 24, 2009 Some of you may know I recenty had to have my engine rebuilt due to the rings going, I spent a grand getting the vrt back on the road, now when I got it back I noticed the gearbox didn't seem right, at the gear stick side of things, everything seemed to be off centre ( this is hard to explain lol bear with me). For example putting it into first seems to be slightly out of line to the left etc etc, and its making the gears crunch..... Does anyone know what is causing this and how it can be rectified?? The box was perfectly fine when it went in for the work, never crunched or was hard to put into gear. Btw reverse seems to be the worst, it is almost garantee'd to crunch, I want it sorting before I damage it. Cheers peeps in advance Link to post Share on other sites

DanH 1 Posted November 25, 2009 Report Share Posted November 25, 2009 yea id agree prob linkage side of things if its like it all off a sudden....did the box come out? sounds like the selector has been put on off centre-i kno they should only go on 1 way but mosty dont! can always have a look too if u like, only down in leigh.
