VR5+1 0
Hi man oh man my VR is a problem child, right i had the stock sony tape player in the car and realised i had the mini sony changer in the garage, when i fitted it the head unit stoped working so i removed the head unit and fitted a new Kenwood. well when i fitted this new unit i noticed the switched live (yellow in vw's case) was dead when you turned on the ignition, where as it should be live at this point. i wondered, the sony worked up until the point of plugging in the changer. Did this knock out the circuit. Everything else is working so i cant see it shareing a fuse. I cant locate a fuse for this. is there a seperate fuse box for this?
baz8328 0
As far as i know there should be a fuse for the circuit. not sure which one it is Sorry. You could put it permanent live where the red and yellow of the stereo to the permanent LIVE of the car and then it will work all the time . Just remember to turn it off when u get out the car as you will get a flat battery !!
